Amongst everything that’s been happening lately–though, of not unconnected from what’s been happening for centuries: continued pressure for racial equality in this country, finally, a national recognition of Juneteenth, the commemoration of one of the worst cases of white aggression against Black people just trying to live their lives in the Tulsa Massacre–I was sent this wonderful documentary that is yet, another testament to Black genius.

The documentary entitled Lonnie Holley: The Man is the Music, is about a self-taught African American artist who is the embodiment of art.

Enjoy!
